Painting Project #2

Well, after the success of Halle's bedroom, I have now been "promoted" (if you can call it that) to heading up some new projects around the house. My mom-in-law LOVED Hal's room and now wants the bathroom between Halle's and Jessica's room redone. She has designated me to do the brunt of the work for some reason. (ha!)

Right now, the bathroom is a blue-gray color with dark gray rugs and a gray striped shower curtain.
The shower curtain now:And here's what we're changing it to:Shower hooksAlthough they had the bath ensemble to match the shower curtain, we went with these instead because they were on clearance and looked really cool. You can't tell from the picture, but the white part is glittery and around the tops are diamond jewels. It goes really well with the theme.

I spent last night getting everything off the walls, filling in all the holes from towel bars, etc., and taping. Everything is set to start painting tonight. We are painting the front room gray and the room with the shower and toliet a light pink.

Pics to come as soon as it is done!

We are also going to try and tackle painting the inside of the bathtub and walls. Because we live in the country, we have well water, which has a lot of rust in it, so our showers turn orangish and the tub has had 17+ years of kid's gruby/grimy feet standing in it. It really needs a make-over and we thought that before we buy a "bath fitter" (a tub cover that just goes over top of your old tub), we would see what painting it looks like. If it looks horrible, we'll call Bath Fitter. Have you ever done this? What did you think?

PS. I'm FINALLY getting my hair done tonight!!! It's been forever since I have gotten it done! I want it to look nice for my birthday (only a few days away) and for our trip to Florida in 2.5 weeks!
