Rodeo

We spent the last day of our Christmas vacation by going to a rodeo at The Palace. We had our family church service early Sunday morning and then headed down. The Haggadones met us at the house and carpooled with us down there.
We got there a little early so that we could take the kids down into the arena and let them see the bulls, horses, calfs, etc. We also got to meet the clown that does all the entertaining throughout the rodeo and meet one of the bull chasers- they are the men who try to get the bulls out of the arena after they have bucked off the rider. Halle has gone to a rodeo before, but this was Parker's first time. He LOVED it!!! I have never seen him sit so still and just watch everything for so long. The rodeo was 2.5 hours long and he never made a peep!! He loves horses and animals though so I wasn't that surprised. Halle loved it too! She and Parker both got a lariat to play with.

On the way home we stopped at Red Knapps to eat a late lunch/early dinner. The Haggadones ate with us too! We all got burgers and I got one of my favorite things- deep fried pickles! Once we got home we all took a long nap. It was SO nice!!! I think some of us got a mild case of food posioning though because Brad, Mr. H, and I all had stomach aches Sunday evening. It was really weird!
Our Christmas vacation was SO nice-probably the best one we've had yet. It was just so relaxing and slow paced. The rodeo was a great way to end the vacation.
